Hello KSBL guys,

Another season has come to an end. I think we all appreciated the increased competition and level of play in the league this year. Just a few wrap-up notes:

(1)  Summer ball will be on Wednesday nights, starting at 7:30 PM at Pacific Way Elementary.  This will run all summer from May 26th to September 15th. The cost is $20/person for the whole summer. Feel free to bring new guys out.

(2)  The league started the season with about $1800 in our account. We will have just over $2000 at the end of this season. This year's expenses: Referees ($7040), Gym+insurance ($5400), Scorekeepers ($1760). The T and U fund climbed to about $200; this was spent at the league social on March 3rd. I am hoping to keep league fees unchanged for next year.

(3)  Special thanx go out to Claudio, Ian, Brian and Fred for help with the league social. Buy them a beer (OK Springs product) if you see them. Also, Maria and Sherah Grant for helping out with scorekeeping (do not attempt to buy them a beer under penalty of death). Glen (you can buy him a beer) maintains and hosts our website at no charge to the league - thanx Glen. Finally, I would like to thank Eden and Shahriar with all their help scorekeeping the later games. Eden will be off to pursue her academic career on the coast next year; her assistance and coolness will be missed.

I hope I'm not forgetting anything (or anyone). I hope to see you guys either this summer or next year. Have a good one.

The Sportsmens Basketball League is a recreational league for players 35 and over. We play on Wednesday nights at the Tournament Capital Centre (TCC), 910 McGill Road, Kamloops.

The league currently has 11 teams.

Using both the championship court and the middle court, there are 2 games at 7:00pm, 2 games at 8:20pm, and a 5th game at 9:40pm. All teams have a bye week during the schedule.

Our current schedule runs from October to March.
